ファミリーを害した者を、鳥の餌にして啄ませるという恐ろしい噂が広まっている。
真偽は定かではないが、マフィアらしく、容赦ない苛烈さを感じさせるのはたしかだ。
一方で身内に対しては非常に寛容な側面がある。
彼に付き従う者の多くは、死の淵を彷徨っていたところをシームルグに救われている。
そして、失うはずだった生をファミリーへ捧げて尽くすことを誓った者たちだ。
群れに付き従う者が増えるのを純粋に嬉しく思うと同時に、自分に心酔する者たちへの負い目を感じている。
そのひとつは、彼が自身を「悪」に属すると考えており、同じ道に引きずり込んでしまったという罪悪感に由来する。
そしてもうひとつは己への尊敬や敬愛の念が一種のインプリンティング、すなわち生命を救われた刷り込みにすぎないという考えだ。
煌びやかな羽を想起させるような極彩色の少年に対し、色々な意味で、こんな跡目が居ればどんなに良かっただろうと思っている。

そのため、ゲームで言うところのガン待ち・ハメ技プレイのようなスタイルをついつい取ってしまうらしい。

家族や好きな人同士で手を繋いで歩く人々をよそに、かじかむ手でひとりカメラを握りしめる。
これまでも、シュクユウは楽しかった。
でも、今はもっと楽しい、何故なら、自分の手を繋いでくれる大好きな人が横に居るから。
この流れ星のような気持ちの出どころを、シュクユウはもっと知りたいと思うのだ。
主にデジタルカメラを使ってきたが、アナログフィルムや古いカメラレンズにも最近興味があるらしい。
